The JESTER Artspace board:

Alan Baseden, President

Alan Baseden is an artist and interactive designer. He is also actively involved as an instructor for our nonprofit group. He was born in Wilmington, and raised with his five siblings on Grubb Road. Alan graduated from Concord High School in 1982, and attended University of Delaware. He went on to study art full-time and graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, which launched him on to 23 years as a News Artist and Interactive Editor for news organizations. There in NYC, Alan met the girl of his dreams, the gorgeous and talented artist Debra Eisenbach. Today Alan and Debra live in Paoli, PA with their two kids. He works for a major financial company creating educational websites, animated videos, and illustrations that help regular working folks understand their money. Outside of his day job, Alan is an active artist specializing in urban sketching and printmaking.


Suzanne Wight Murphy, Vice President

Suzanne is a Delaware transplant who grew up in Ohio. She is a Penn State educated civil engineer who is married to Patrick a UD grad and Delaware native. Working in the Delaware Valley region as Estimator for Wohlsen Construction she has experience in many aspects of construction and renovation. As a transplant to the Wilmington area, Suzanne is excited to be giving back by assisting the Artspace team with the interior renovations to the farmhouse. She lives in the North Wilmington area with her husband and son and is proud to be a part of a community led team of folks to rehabilitate and re-purpose a piece of Delaware’s history.


Melissa Zoladkiewicz, Secretary

Melissa Zoladkiewicz

Melissa serves as both board secretary and head of fundraising for Jester Artspace. The New Jersey transplant moved to Delaware to study finance at the University of Delaware where she met her husband Joe Zoladkiewicz, a Wilmington native. Melissa lives with her husband, two kids and labradoodle on Grubb Road.  The Zoladkiewicz family is passionate about preserving this piece of North Wilmington history and look forward to cultivating arts education in our community.


Reneett Su, Treasurer

Reneett is a graduate from Florida Atlantic University. She recently relocated with her husband to the Wilmington area from Florida. She has held various roles in the accounting field including tax, corporate and fund accounting.  She wanted to be involved with the community while combining her love for the arts with her background in accounting and finance. In her free time, she enjoys restoring furniture finds and home decor items.


Susan Benarcik

Susan Benarcik is a sculptor and urban garden designer based in Arden. Her work has been exhibited across the country in galleries, museums, sculpture parks, arboreta, and botanic gardens such as the New York Design Center, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Delaware Art Museum. Her Master’s degree in printmaking is from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Rosemont College. She is excited to bring her knowledge to a new generation.


Kelly Rowe

Kelly Rowe is a Wilmington area attorney, who grew up surrounded by the arts thanks to her parents who were involved in the Delaware art scene. She is an avid volunteer with several local organizations, including the American Red Cross, Greenbank Mills and Philips Farm, Winterthur, and Auburn Heights. She hopes to help share the arts with the community and bring attention to local artists. Kelly is excited to see Jester Farm transform into a community hub for the arts.


Jamie Liberatore

Jamie is a Brandywine Valley native. She is known for being vocal about local conservation efforts and is bringing her voice to support the Jester Artspace. Her background includes a Bachelor’s in Digital Communications. She is responsible for the Artspace website and social media channels.
