Jester Artspace hosts 3-hour sketch nights on the 3rd Wednesday of most months. We are always in need of visually unique people with interesting attire. No previous experience, we are just looking for new people to draw. Must be willing to hold a pose for up to 20 minutes at a time, and be available on Wednesday evenings. Absolutely must be on time. Previous models have included historical reenactors, cosplayers, etc. Examples of desirable outfits might include tradespeople, traditional ethnic costumes, family heirloom, sports uniform, etc. We pay $60 cash for a 3 hour session.
We’re always looking for skilled artists and craftspersons with teaching experience to lead innovative workshops of all media. We would like our teaching artists and craftspersons to possess a high level of accomplishment. A degree in studio art is not required; however, skills, abilities and work experience should be exceptional. We will ask that you work with us to help promote your class. Send us a resume that indicates teaching experience, a cover letter, three images of your studio work, student work, and/or your innovative workshop ideas. Pay rate is competitive.
We always want to hear from talented professionals looking to volunteer their time to promote our mission to serve the community. We are a creative and fun-loving group of friends working to save an old house, make some great art, and have a great time doing it. We encourage people who want to use their existing skills, but we also like to be supportive of folks who want to step out and try new things as well. We are in greatest need of new members with expertise in any of the following areas:
- Communications, public relations, marketing
- Artistic accomplishment, instruction or curatorship
- Construction, building trades
- Event planning
We are seeking one or more student interns to promote our workshops and classes in particular, and build a wider following in general. We are interested in curious individuals who are comfortable with data and also creative thinking. Must be able to think about both online and offline strategies. The intern(s) will join our Saturday monthly board meetings, gather news from our committees, post to social media accounts, and produce a monthly e-newsletter. They will assist helping us identify innovative ways to engage with people who want to put their phones away, get out of the house, and take part in creative activities. We would love to pay you, but we are a small volunteer-driven nonprofit with a tight budget. We can however promise a culture of innovation and a desire to help you learn and grow. Time commitment is negotiable.
